Chris came to re-plant and lead the church into its mission of loving God, connecting people, serving the city, and reaching the world with the transforming power of the gospel to this and the next generation. He is passionate about the gospel and seeing people come to know the Lord for the first time (evangelism) or the next time (discipleship). He firmly believes that the church is called to make disciples who make a dent in the universe by making a difference in their communities – wherever they live, work, and play. Prior to his studies at Covenant Theological Seminary and full time pastoral ministry, Chris had a five year career in the corporate world of sales, marketing and management. Chris is married to his beautiful and talented wife, Maggie, and together they have four children
JB has been with Christ Church since 2012 where he started as a Pastoral Intern & is now the Director of Student Ministry. He completed his undergrad in Psychology at Texas A&M and his Master’s in Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary. In July of 2014, JB and his wife Allison attended RUF assessment, where they were approved to work with Reformed University Fellowship. Having a love for the people of Christ Church, and a desire to see college students reached with the gospel at the nearby campus of UT Arlington, he began coordinating a plan to establish a gospel outreach to that campus. JB’s desire is to see students from all walks of life and stages of belief come to love and serve God the Father, through faith in Jesus his Son, as they delight in community with his church by the unity of his Spirit. JB and Allison recently welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl, Lillian. JB enjoys spending his free time reading a good book, working out, or doing just about anything that gets him out in the woods including hunting, fishing or backpacking. And if you really want to get him talking, ask him about A&M football. There are few things he loves more than the Fightin’ Texas Aggies!

At Christ Church Mansfield, we believe that leadership development is a critical task of the church. Dr. Harry Reeder, in his book The Leadership Dynamic says,
“Genuine, effective leadership must be learned from God’s Word, developed through disciple making, nurtured in God’s church, and then transported into the world....The Christian church [then] must become a leadership factory and distribution center for the world, and by the grace of God, it can.”
We are committed to developing leaders not just for our church, but for the greater Kingdom of God throughout the world. If you are interested in pursuing a ministry internship with us to discover and develop your gifts, strengths, and calling in ministry, and to be deployed into a ministry of significant contribution to the greater kingdom of God, then read through our Christ Church Internship Program document and follow the instructions for beginning this process with us.
