Waiting - Advent 2017

Advent (lit. “to come”) begins this Sunday, and as has been the case throughout the church’s history, we enter into this season with hopeful and expectant longing. This season every year resets our eyes and re-centers our hearts on the one who comes to set the world right again, who would turn away God’s anger against sin, who would conquer all of His and our enemies, and who would ultimately draw His people back to Him, namely Jesus Christ.

But what does it mean to live in light of Him when the fullness of that promise is not yet fully realized? Walking through beginning chapters of the Gospel of Matthew, we will see that God’s people have always had to live in a state of waiting on God to fulfill His promises: in faith, in hope, and in love.

Join us for this 2017 Advent series - Waiting - in Faith, Hope, and Love, an Advent series through Matthew 1-2.
